3Legs Moves Closer to Long Vertical Well in Poland

UK-based 3Legs Resources announced that the drilling activities in the Slawoszyno LEP-1 vertical well confirmed earlier modelling of Poland’s shale. The company also said it is moving closer to drill the third well in its 2013/2014 programme.

“This will be the third long lateral well which we have drilled on our western Baltic Basin concessions and will incorporate the significant amount of knowledge which we have acquired, in relation to our target formations, since we drilled and tested our first vertical well in 2010 and our first two long lateral wells in 2011,” Kamlesh Parmar, Chief Executive of 3Legs Resources, said in a note released on Tuesday.

The company, together with ConocoPhillips, obtained the necessary permits for the new long lateral Lublewo LEP-1 well. The rig is on its way to the selected location.

‘Following drilling and completion of this lateral well, we expect that testing will take place in the third quarter of 2014, as previously announced,’ reads the communiqué.
