Alberta Natural Gas Minister on Asia Mission
Dale Nally, Alberta’s associate minister of natural gas, has embarked on an eight-day tour of Japan and South Korea November 15-23 to promote the province’s “world-leading” natural gas.
“As part of our plan to revitalise Alberta’s natural gas sector, I’m meeting with investors and government officials to share with them that Alberta is open for business,” Nally said. “We are a place they can turn to as a source of clean, secure, and ethically produced natural gas.”
In Tokyo, Nally will deliver opening remarks at a reception dinner November 17 ahead of the GZERO Summit, a conference at which leaders and experts from government, industry and the media will discuss how global challenges are spilling over into domestic policies. While attending the summit, he will advocate for Alberta’s natural gas as a stable and environmentally responsible energy source.
He will also tour a Tokyo Gas LNG import facility and meet with Canada’s ambassador to Japan, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan and international investors and energy companies.
In Seoul, Nally will tour a Korea Gas LNG import facility and meet with the Canadian ambassador to South Korea and energy companies November 21 and November 22 before returning to Canada on November 23.
