Anadarko Aims to Ink Mozambique Gas Sales This Year

Anadarko is in talks with buyers for gas sales from its planned project off the coast of Mozambique.

"We believe we will be announcing heads of agreements through the course of this year and next," Anadarko CEO Al Walker told an LNG conference in Tokyo on Tuesday, referring to initial supply contracts, Reuters reported.

The company is looking to ship first cargo from the East African nation in 2018, Reuters quoted Walker as saying.

Anadarko is speaking to about 20 buyers, a source close to the negotiations told Reuters.
