Anadarko Encounters Gas at New Zealand Offshore Well

Anadarko Petroleum, operator of PEP 38264 offshore New Zealand has encountered gas at the Caravel-1 well, JV partner Origin Energy announced.

The well, which was drilled to a depth of 2,692 metres is located in Canterbury Basin is currently being plugged and abandoned. 

A detailed analysis of sub-surface information will take place in the coming months to guide any future activities in the area, Origin said.
