Angus begins commissioning at UK Saltfleetby field
London-listed Angus Energy announced on June 28 it had started commissioning work at the Saltfleetby gas field in east Lincolnshire in the UK.
Commissioning, which follows the conclusion of leak testing, is expected to take between one and two weeks to complete, with Angus targeting first gas sales between July 7 and 12. Angus expects to produce close to 5mn therms of gas from the field between July and September, it said.

Saltfleetby started production in 1999 but was idled in 2017. Angus, which acquired a 51% stake in Saltfleetby from Wingas in August 2019, believes there is still up to 18bn ft3 of gas that could be recovered, however.
