Beijing Gas in Small-Scale LNG Deal
Anhui Power Energy Company, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Blue Sky Power Holdings, has signed an agreement to supply LNG to Beijing Luyuanda, an associate of Beijing Gas Company. No volumes were disclosed, although value caps suggest they will be small.
Blue Sky November 21 said, without disclosing any information about the quantity contracted, that it will supply the fuel for a period of three years from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019. The annual caps for the agreement for the years ending December 31, 2017, 2018 and 2019 is set out as yuan 150mn ($21.77mn), yuan 165mn and yuan 180mn respectively, the company stated.
Anhui Power Energy is principally engaged in the sale of natural gas and other related products. Beijing Luyuanda is principally engaged in the operation of vehicle gas stations (oil and gas mixture) business and sale of LNG in China.
Beijing Gas is now a substantial shareholder of Blue Sky Power.
