Aussie east coast LNG exports up 4% in Nov

LNG exports from the three projects on the Australian east coast came in at 2.13mn metric tons (mt) in November, up 4.4% year/year, Gladstone Ports Corp said on December 6. The exports were up 3.4% month/month.

China was the biggest buyer and imported 1.54mn mt of LNG, down 5% yr/yr. South Korea shipped in 333,355 mt, up from 226,711 mt in the previous year. Japan imported 139,195 mt, up from 66,582 mt while Malaysia imported 125,359 mt, up 1.1% yr/yr.

The three east coast projects are Australia Pacific LNG, Gladstone LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG. In the 12 months to June 30, these projects exported a record 23mn mt of LNG.
