AzerNews: Turkish Stream, TANAP not competitors

Turkish Stream is not a competitor to the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline as the negotiations on the construction of a new pipeline with Russia are not legal yet, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz made this statement during his speech on TRT Haber TV channel on December 22.

Yildiz said that Turkey is a partner in TANAP project.

Ankara expects the EU’s gas needs to greatly increase by 2035. This will require significant diversification of supplies. According to the preliminary data, the EU will need about 700 billion cubic meters of natural gas given the current consumption of 550 billion cubic meters by 2035. MORE
