Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Joins SEA-LNG Association

Maritime solutions provider Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has joined the SEA-LNG association, an industry coalition focused on promoting LNG as a marine fuel, the association announced on August 6.

BSM manages over 100 gas carriers, more than half of which are LNG carriers. The company also oversees nearly 30 LNG dual-fuel ships and two LNG bunker vessels.

Utilising LNG as a marine fuel necessitates stringent training standards for seafarers and shoreside personnel to ensure safe and efficient vessel operation. BSM addresses this need through its dedicated LNG training facilities, which feature liquid cargo simulators designed and developed by BSM’s in-house technical team, using SEA-LNG member GTT’s training software, SEA-LNG said.

Additionally, BSM operates an LNG competence centre, offering consultancy services on various LNG industry topics, including technical, crewing, and commercial matters.
