Bilateral Agreements Between Ukraine and Russia Expected on Tuesday

Russia’s Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will chair the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission’s sixth meeting in Moscow on December 17, reads a note released by the Kremlin on Monday.

‘A solid package of bilateral agreements is expected to be signed following the meeting,’ explains the press release, adding that the meeting will be focused on bilateral trade and economic cooperation,' especially in the energy sector. 

Bloomberg wrote on Monday that Kiev is in talks with Moscow for a loan up to $15 billion.

The European Union said on Sunday that it stopped the negotiation for an agreement with Ukraine.
