Bilfinger Completes Efficiency Analysis on LNG Terminal in Russia
Bilfinger Industrial Services has recently completed a consulting project for Sakhalin Energy on the liquefied natural gas terminal in Sakhalin, Russia, reads a note released on Wednesday.
The press release explains that the project is completed, but it does not provide additional details on the results of the analysis.
The Germany-based provider of integrated industrial services carried out an analysis of the efficiency and efficacy of the processes implemented in the LNG terminal, which is located on the island of Sakhalin in the Sea of Okhots, north of the Japan’s island of Hokkaido.
Gazprom Sakhalin Holding is Sakhalin Energy’s majority shareholder.
Bilfinger Industrial Services performed the activities on site from January to March, with analysis also on the offshore facilities located off the eastern coast of the island.
The development of the Sakhalin-2 LNG project continues to gain in momentum as GE Oil & Gas recently announced that it had been awarded a 16-year extension of its contract.
