Botas, EGAS strengthen ties to enhance energy collaboration

Turkish energy company Botas and Egyptian natural gas company EGAS have solidified their commitment to strengthening their collaborative efforts, Botas said on February 15.

Botas revealed that the two companies will be intensifying their partnership, with a primary focus on natural gas and LNG trading opportunities, cooperation in natural gas infrastructure, underground storage, as well as the exchange of technical information and experience.

“While successfully carrying out various activities in a lot of spheres from natural gas to oil, renewable energy, LNG and FSRU terminal operations, storage and port services, Botas also continues to establish strong collaborations with energy partners in the region in line with the purpose of increasing the diversity of energy resources,” it said.

Botas said that the partnership is driven by a shared goal of reinforcing the energy security of Turkey and the broader region.
