Bulgaria Looks to Poland for Shale Gas Guidance
Bulgaria's will use Poland's experience in undertaking shale gas exploration on its territory.
Representatives of Bulgaria's Economy, Foreign and Environment ministries and the regional governors of Varna and Dobrich visited Poland for discussions. They were joined by officials from Razgrad administration. Chevron Corp has been awarded for shale gas exploration in northeastern Bulgaria near the town of Novi Pazar, on the territory of the Razgrad, Shoumen, Silistra, Dobrich and Varna municipalities.
In a statement, the Economy Ministry pointed to the high level of support that shale gas development enjoys amongst average Poles and local governments.
