Friedl News: Bulgaria Puts Pressure on Nabucco

Bulgaria wants the Nabucco project to start as soon as possible.

Bulgaria pursues a double strategy. On the one side, the South Stream pipeline lowers the gas price in the next ten years. On the other side, Nabucco should reduce the dependence on Russian natural gas. According to Bulgaria´s government, the construction of the pipeline project should begin as soon as possible.

Bulgaria´s Prime Minister Rosen Plevneliev explained that Nabucco is very important for the country. Bulgaria wants to connect its gas network with the pipelines in Romania, Greece and Turkey.

The new Nabucco project should start at the Turkish-Bulgarian frontier.  MORE
