Focus: Nothing has changed for Bulgaria in terms of South Stream project: Minister

Nothing has changed for Bulgaria in terms of South Stream gas pipeline project,” Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said at a sitting of the parliamentary Energy Committee, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.

Minister Petkova answered a question of MP from BSP Left Bulgaria Dragomir Stoynev on the emerging information on the website of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works on the public procurement procedures. Petkova specified that what is taken as activity is under the South Stream Transport, which is commissioned to a foreign company and it doesn’t concern Bulgaria. “Bulgarian administration has no reason to not doing its job in terms of South Stream gas pipeline project. Everything related to the South Stream project has issued documents,” Temenuzhka Petkova added.

On the statement made by EC Vice-President Marosh Šefčovič during his visit to Bulgaria, that it will be terminated procurement proceedings against our country because of South Stream project, the Energy Minister stated that we have not done specific steps.
