Cameron LNG's Train 2 Starts up
The second 4mn mt/yr train of the Cameron LNG export project in Louisiana has launched production, its operator Sempra Energy said on December 23.
The terminal’s first train began operating in August, while its third and final train is on track to start up in the third quarter of 2020, according to Sempra, bringing output to 12mn mt/yr. A further two trains could be added under a proposed second phase that has been authorised by federal regulators.
Sempra has a 50.2% stake in the project. Its partners are France's Total and Japan’s Mitsui & Co, Mitsubishi and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha.
