Cameroon FLNG Vessel Leaves Shipyard

Shipowner and project developer Golar LNG said September 29 that the floating liquefaction vessel, Hilli Episeyo, has left its shipyard.

It will form the key part of West Africa's first offshore floating LNG (FLNG) project, only the second in the world following deployment of Malaysia's PFLNG.

Bermuda-registered Golar LNG said the vessel "departed the Keppel shipyard in Singapore, in line with previous guidance, October 1," adding: "Having successfully reached mechanical completion, the vessel has been moved to deep-water anchorage where Keppel Shipyard will complete final marine commissioning.  Hilli Episeyo is currently expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and October 20."

Last week the ship was bunkered with LNG in Singapore as part of a cooldown of the vessel's facilities. 

West Africa's first FLNG project, in shallow water offshore Cameroon and led by Perenco and state SNH, is due to start producing later this autumn.
