Cavendish Renewable teams up with Adani on electrolyser tech

Melbourne-based Cavendish Renewable Technology (CRT) has signed an agreement with Adani New Industries, a part of India’s Adani Group, to commercialise its electrolyser technologies in India and the MENA region, it said on December 8.

The agreement includes infrastructure costs for further development of the intellectual property, licence fees and royalties on the successful commercialisation of CRT's electrolyser technologies.

The companies will collaborate to develop alkaline electrolysers, polymer exchange membranes, anion exchange membranes, and CRT’s C Cell technology for mass-scale production.

Adani New Industries is the manufacturing and green hydrogen platform of the Adani Group. It is focused on the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives, and the manufacturing of critical equipment for energy transition, including solar panels, wind turbines and electrolysers.

The company is setting up a vertically integrated 5 GW electrolyser manufacturing plant in India.
