Changqing Field Sees 8% Rise in Gas Output

The Changqing oilfield’s gas production during the first two months of this year was 8.42bn m3, up 8.2% year/year, the project's operator CNPC said in a statement on March 2.  

The highest daily output reached 150mn m3/day, a new record, it added. CNPC expects oil and gas output this year to reach 62mn metric tons of oil equivalent as against 60.83mn metric tons in 2020

Changqing, one of China’s biggest oilfields, is located in the country's northern Ordos basin. It supplies oil and gas to cities including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
