China Consumed 18 bcm of Natural Gas in November

China consumed 18.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in November, up 9.7 percent year on year, according to data released by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) Tuesday.

Natural gas production stood at 11.5 bcm in November, up only 0.1 percent on year. According to NDRC, imports of natural gas in November stood at 6.1 bcm, up 15.4 percent on year.

During Jan-Nov, country’s natural gas imports were 54.4 bcm, up 4.7 percent on year while consumption was up 3.7 percent at 165 bcm. Production during the 11 months was 119 bcm, up 3.3 percent compared with same period last year.

LNG imports stood at 1.8 million tonnes in November, up 3.5 percent compared with same period last year, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs. Compared with import figures of October 2015, imports in November were up 13.5 percent.
