China imports record LNG in 2021
Chinese LNG imports in 2021 came in at record 78.93mn metric tons, up 18.3% year/year, customs department data published on January 18 showed.
In December, Chinese LNG imports were 7.63mn mt, up 1.6% yr/yr. The imports were up 10.6% month/month.

The customs data showed that pipeline gas imports last year were 42.43mn mt, up 23% yr/yr. In December pipeline gas imports were 4.02mn mt, up 10.8% yr/yr.
