China November Gas Production Stood at 11.1 bcm

China produced 11.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in November, up 0.2 percent year on year, data released by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.

During the first 11 months country’s natural gas production was 114.6 bcm, up 2.9 percent compared with same period last year.

China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) last month announced a deep cut in city gate gas prices for non-residential users.

Country’s top economic planner said non-residential natural gas prices at city gate stations will be cut by 700 yuan ($110) per thousand cubic meters.

The NDRC has also allowed non-residential players to raise gas prices by 20 percent based on supply and demand but has set no downward limit.

The move is aimed at reviving demand for gas amid rising supplies.
