China’s Fortune Group to Start Inner Mongolia LNG Plant In March
China’s Fortune Group plans to start its 300,000 cubic metre/day (cbm/day) liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant at Bayannur in Inner Mongolia by the end of March, media reports said.
The plant was originally scheduled to start in January but the opening had to be postponed due to shortage of power.
Gas will be supplied by PetroChina’s Changqing oil and gas field located in China’s Ordos Basin.
The company plans to sell LNG output nationwide and is trying to establish long-term contracts with some clients, the source added.
Fortune Group is a LNG and coal bed methane player is based in Zhejiang province.
