China's July Gas Imports Spike 56% Year-on-year

China’s natural gas imports in July spiked almost 56% year-on-year to 5.76 mn metric tons, according to the latest data published by the country's General Administration of Customs August 8.

Natural gas imports in June were 5.58mn mt, the data showed.

During the January-July period the cumulative imports were 36.82mn mt, up almost 21% year-on-year.
