China's LNG Imports Jump 19% in May

China’s LNG imports in May totalled 5.23mn metric tons, up 19% yr/yr, customs department data published June 23 showed.

The country’s LNG imports during the first five months of the year were up 7% yr/yr at 25.48mn mt. Meanwhile, China’s pipeline gas imports in May were 2.61mn mt, down 16.6% yr/yr, the data showed. Pipeline gas imports in the first five months were 14.64mn mt, down 5.9% yr/yr.
