China's LNG Imports Up 18% in Dec

China imported 7.59mn metric tons of LNG in December, up 18.2% year/year, the latest customs department’s data published last week showed. Imports were up 14.8% month on month.  

During the 2020 calendar year, China’s LNG imports were 67.13mn mt of LNG, up 11.5% on the previous year, the data showed.

China’s pipeline gas imports in December were 3.63mn mt, up 18.9% yr/yr while full-year imports were 34.53mn mt, down 4.9% compared with the previous year, the customs department said.
