Chongqing to Start LNG Bunkering on Yangtze River

Chongqing Fujiang Energy Technology Company, a subsidiary of China focused oil, gas and infrastricture firm Fortune Oil, is going to start LNG bunkering operations on the Yangtze River in August this year.

SinoShip News reported that the LNG filling station would have a storage volume of 2,000 cu m and would be capable of filling 20 vessels every day.

Luo Cihua, general manager of Fujiang Energy said that the company will initially convert LNG vessels for large shipping companies for free, and share the percentage of the energy cost saved by the shipping companies to ease the financial burden on them.

Luo revealed that the company has another four to five LNG filling stations in the planning near Wuhan, Nanjing and Shanghai, SinoShip News said.
