Cimic Bags A$450mn Oz Contracts
UGL, a unit of Australian engineering firm Cimic, has secured contracts worth A$450mn (US$302mn) to provide maintenance, turnarounds and project services in the oil and gas sector, Cimic said February 11.
The company will deliver an extension of maintenance and turnaround services at the Chevron-operated Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities in Western Australia, where UGL is delivering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and access services for maintenance, plant turnaround and brownfield execution services.
The contracts will also deliver an extension of integrated services for structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation for existing oil and gas sector clients in Western Australia and Victoria, Cimic said.
