Cnooc Starts up Bozhong 19-6 Gas Field
Chinese offshore explorer Cnooc announced on October 22 that it had started pilot production at the Bozhong 19-6 gas and condensate field.
The Bozhong 19-6 field is located in the central Bohai Sea in waters averaging 23 m in depth. A new wellhead platform has been built and will be tied back to the existing processing facilities of the Bozhong 13-1 oilfield, Cnooc said.
Eight development wells are planned for production, including seven production wells and one water source well, Cnooc said. It expects the project to reach its peak production of approximately 35.32mn ft3/day of natural gas and 5,720 barrels/day of condensate oil by the end of 2020.
Cnooc is the sole operator of the Bozhong 19-6 field.
