Cnooc's Zhuhai Terminal Jumps

Cnooc Gas and Power’s Zhuhai LNG terminal has received over 1mn metric tons of LNG in the first five months of this year, up 20% year-on-year, the company said June 4.

The terminal, located in China’s Guangdong province, has a capacity of 3.5mn mt/yr and supplies gas to cities of Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen. It became operational in October 2013.

Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-owned Cnooc, operates nine LNG import terminals at Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, Putian, Yuedong, Dapeng, Zhuhai, Hainan and Shenzhen. The company has started work  on its 10th terminal.
