CNPC exceeds targets at Daqing field
The CNPC-operated Daqing field's oil and natural gas production during the first three months of the year (Q1) exceeded targets, the state-run company said on April 7.
During the January-March period, oil output was 7.4mn metric tons (mt), 320,000 mt over the target. The production of natural gas exceeded the target by 30.32mn m3 at 1.4bn m3, CNPC said.

In Q1, 1,066 wells were completed, of which 30 were completed in a single day on March 15, setting a new daily record, the company added. Daqing is located between the Songhua river and Nen river in Heilongjiang province in northeastern China.
China’s natural gas output has been trending higher this year as state-run exploration companies have ramped up output to meet rising domestic demand.
