CNPC's Daqing Field Jan-Apr Gas Output 1.3 Bcm

Natural gas production from CNPC’s Daqing field during Jan-Apr was 1.3 billion cubic meters, up 4.2 percent on year, the company said in a statement Monday.

With the increase of gas production CNPC has been able to expand supply in the region. The company now covers Daqing Hadaqi economic zone, supplies gas to eight city gas entities, seven CNG mother stations, five large industrial users and 34 oilfield internal corporate users.

CNPC plans to further enhance natural gas production from the field. Currently it is capacity of 200,000 cubic meters per day from deep wells and 30,000 cubic meters per day from shallow wells.

The Daqing field is located in the Songliao Plain in northeastern China. The field was discovered in 1959 and has been one of the biggest source of oil.
