Dalian LNG Terminal's Handling Capacity to Reach 10 mt

PetroChina operated Dalian LNG receiving terminal’s handling capacity will increase to more than 10 million tons after start of second phase, the company said in a statement Friday.

The second phase is expected to become operational early next year. Maximum daily gasification capacity would reach 40 million cubic meters.

In October, the company put into operation the third tank of Dalian LNG terminal, marking the overall completion and operation of the first phase.

Construction of Dalian LNG terminal was started in 2008. It is China’s first large scale LNG terminal that is domestically designed, procured, constructed and managed in compliance with international standards.

The first phase project has an annual receiving capacity of 3 million tons, gasification capacity of 5.25 million tons, and gas deliverability of 7.6 billion cubic meters.
