DOF Subsea Wins Oz Contract

Beach Energy has awarded DOF Subsea Australia a contract for subsea installation work under a tie-back programme at the Victorian Otway Offshore Project Phase 4, DOF said on November 24.

The award includes project management, engineering, fabrication, transportation and installation services and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2021. The project will be executed using DOF Subsea's regional construction support vessels, Skandi Hercules and Skandi Singapore.

Beach announced a gas discovery at Enterprise-1 exploration well in licence VIC/P42(V) in the Otway basin earlier this month. Beach CEO Matt Kay said that the company’s focus was on the upcoming offshore Victorian Otway basin drilling campaign, which is due to begin in the March 2021 quarter.
