Dutch logistics firm Emons to deploy 50 bio-LNG trucks

Dutch logistics firm Emons will deploy 50 Volvo FH trucks that will run on bio-LNG, Volvo Trucks said on March 13.

"We want to become more sustainable as quickly as possible, on a large scale and also on our long-distance fleet. With bio-LNG, this is possible immediately and also on good business terms," stated Daan Emons, CEO of Emons.

The Volvo FH trucks deployed by Emons will feature a tank with a capacity of 225 kg. These trucks, equipped with 460 hp and 2300 Nm of torque, adhere to Emons' standard specifications. The order for 50 LNG trucks will be gradually purchased in batches, with the delivery of the first 15 units set to begin soon.

Emons plans to expand its bio-LNG fleet to 120 trucks in the near future, further solidifying its commitment to sustainable transportation practices, Volvo Trucks said.
