Eagle LNG marks bunkering firsts in Florida
Eagle LNG said February 23 it had achieved a couple of milestones with the successful bunkering of the 7,500-car carrier SIEM Aristotle at its Talleyrand LNG Bunker Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
It was the first time SIEM – which transports vehicles from German car-maker Volkswagen to ports on the US East and Gulf Coasts and in Mexico – has refueled the vessel from a landside bunkering facility and the first ship that Eagle LNG has refueled of that size from the Talleyrand LNG facility, located at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT).
“Jacksonville continues to lead the way with creative infrastructure solutions to deliver this fuel,” Eagle LNG vice president Matthew Fisher said.
JAXPORT is one of the nation’s top vehicle-handling ports and the only US east coast port offering on-dock and near dock LNG fueling.
