Standart: Economy minister Stoynev pushes work on South Stream

Minister of Economy Dragomir Stoynev instructed to convene a working group to tighten the schedule on the South Stream pipeline. ''This is a strategic project for Bulgaria and it is important to accelerate the work on it'' he told Standart.

The meeting is planned for the end of next week and will consist of the deputy ministers of five areas. Stoynev insists that the representatives of ecology, construction, finance and agriculture decision makers have to a arrive with schedules including precise deadlines for the implementation of the "South Stream" project.

Earlier, the Minister of Economy stated that after the much disputed amendments in the Energy Act, exports jumped by 30% and they led to a first-time price reduction for both domestic and industrial users.  MORE
