Egypt Seeks Fresh Gas Deal With Israel
Egypt is hopeful that it can successfully renegotiate a new natural gas deal with Israel after it did the same with Jordon.
Government official in Egypt say the price of gas to Israel would rise to between $5 and $10 per million metric thermal units (MMBTU).
The establishment has seen protests over Egypt supplying gas to Israel at rates below international benchmark.
The price for Israel under the new deal, if it goes through, would be 30 percent higher than the previous price.
