Emfesz seeks Shale Gas in Poland

The Hungarian natural gas distributor Emfesz, is seeking shale gas opportunities in Poland’s Lublin Carboniferous basin.

Through its Polish subsidiary DPV Service, Emfesz applied for concessions for oil and natural gas exploration in regions of Białobrzegi, Dęblin-Żyżyn, Korczmin - Machnów, Leipzig, Radom and Lublin Opole.

Emfesz is part of Group DF, the international private holding company of prominent Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash.
