Empire to Start Seismic Survey in Perth Basin

Empire as operator of the EP 389 Joint Venture will start 80km2 3D Seismic Survey in the Onshore Perth Basin, Western Australia in April.

The Survey is to be recorded over the Gingin Gasfield Area delineated by discovery wells Gingin-1 and Gingin-2 together with a number of modern 160 fold 2D seismic surveys recorded by Empire.

The Gingin Gasfield Prospects (Gingin-4, Gingin-5, Wannamal-1 and their Deeps, Gingin West Deep [Bootine Deep]) have estimated potential recoverable gas and condensate of 205 billion cubic feet of gas and 9.2 million barrels of condensate. New discoveries drilled in prospects defined by this Survey can be treated at the Red Gully Processing Facility. This Facility is the first dedicated gas and condensate treatment plant built in the Perth Basin.
