Energy Resources spuds Lockyer Deep-1 in Perth basin

Australian oil and gas explorer Energy Resources has spudded the Lockyer Deep-1 conventional gas exploration well in the Perth basin, its partner in the project, Norwest Energy, said on July 19.

“The Lockyer Deep-1 well is designed to test a large structure at the Kingia and High Cliff formations, on trend with the significant discoveries made thus far within the emerging Permian deep gas play of the north Perth basin,” Norwest said. The well is expected to take 35 days to reach a total depth of 4,185 m.
