UPI: Eni reviews shale gas prospects in Ukraine
Italian energy company said it reviewed the shale natural gas potential in Ukraine during talks with the country's prime minister in Kiev.
Eni last year signed a deal with state-owned energy companies to serve as the operator in nine blocks of unconventional shale developments in the Lviv Basin.
Eni Chief Executive Officer Paolo Scaroni met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov for "cordial and constructive" talks about the country's energy future.
"Eni's CEO shared with the prime minister the developments of the company's ongoing activities in Ukraine, affirming Eni's positive vision of the exploration potential that the country presents in the unconventional gas," the company said in a statement. MORE
