E.ON, RWE and PGNiG Last to Complete Gazprom Negotiations
There are only three companies left in price negotiations with Gazprom, Deputy Chief Executive of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev has said today: E.ON Ruhrgas, RWE Transgas and PGNiG.
At a press conference today, Mr. Medvedev said that of all the companies who had previously been locked into price disputes with the Russian giant, only those three's disputes remained to be settled.
"We have completed negotiations with all partners to adjust prices except three firms: Germany's E.ON Ruhrgas and RWE Transgas, and Polish PGNiG," RIA Novosti reported him as saying today.
The newspaper also reports that Mr. Medvedev expects negotiations with E.ON Ruhrgas to be completed soon.
So far, Gazprom has lowered prices to a number of customers, in light of disputes over the practice of linking gas to oil prices, despite increasing quantities of gas on the market.
So far, Gazprom has granted discounts of up to ten per cent to a number of its customers. These are Italy's Eni, Edison and Sinergie Italiane, France's GDF Suez, Germany's Wingas, Slovakia's SPP and Austria's EconGas.
