EPmag: China Aims To Overcome Shale Gas Obstacles
An array of challenges stands between China and shale gas development success. But the Chinese government is working to implement a plan to increase shale gas output and reduce reliance on coal.
Despite rich shale gas plays and headway in research and development, China still must overcome major obstacles before being able to take advantage of its shale gas resources that is estimated to be between 353 Tcf and 1,271 Tcf.
