EPS completes its 50th LNG bunkering

Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) recently completed its 50th LNG bunkering operation, it said on September 15.

EPS managed Starway, a dual-fuel LNG Suezmax, completed LNG bunkering operations in Malaysia. This marked the 50th time in two years that the shipping company has bunkered LNG across its fleet of dual fuel containerships, dry bulk, and tanker vessels.

In July this year, EPS completed the first LNG bunkering operations for its first dual-fuel LNG Suezmax tanker.

Most of EPS’ dual fuel vessels are on long-term time charters to companies like BHP, CMA CGM, Equinor, and STL. Its pair of dual-fuel LNG Suezmaxes trade in the spot market.

“Bunkering LNG for spot vessels showcases our deep commitment to decarbonisation and the industry’s energy transition,” EPS said.
