APA: ERRA chairman: “Transportation of Azerbaijani gas to European markets is one of our significant objectives”
Access of countries like Azerbaijan, which have natural gas reserves, to Europe is one of our significant objectives, chairman of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) Alparslan Bayraktar told journalists.
According to him, effective usage of water sources and getting alternative energy from them is a significant issue for ERRA: “There are countries like Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, US, which have energy reserves, including like Georgia, Turkey and European countries that have not energy reserves in the world. For the present, we discuss energy problems of these countries and restoration of mutual cooperation”.
Bayraktar added that high development of relations among neighbor countries, especially Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey is among the issues to be discussed: “The relations between these countries are not related only to natural gas and oil, but also to supply of energy market. Georgia already has water reserve for renewed energy supply. It’s important to produce these resources, transport to neighbor countries such as Azerbaijan and Turkey and create related market”.
