Keeping cards close to their chests, prospective bidders, for 65.12% stake in Gujarat Gas Company Limited (GGCL), are busy crunching numbers to make final offer to BG Group. Today, eight bidders will submit their final bids to acquire control over country's largest city gas distribution (CGD) company in the private sector.

Gujarat based diversified Adani Group, electricity distribution major Torrent Group and state venture Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) are eyeing to enter industrial belt of South Gujarat for gas distribution.

Public sector oil and gas venture Oil India too is firming up its downstream plans through GGCL acquisition. MORE
