Focus: EU Commission triggers infringement procedure against Bulgaria over South Stream energy project

The European Commission announced the initiation of an infringement procedure against Bulgaria over the construction of the Bulgarian section of South Stream gas pipeline project, bTV reported.

According to Brussels the project violates the European legislation and it must be terminated. The Bulgarian government has one month to come out with a statement on the official announcement for the start of the procedure.
