Plan Sponsor Europe: EU Urged to Learn Shale Gas Lessons from US

As a Polish MEP submits a report to the European parliament arguing that new regulations on shale gas are not needed, Karina Litvack, Head of Governance & Sustainable Investment at F&C Asset Management, has told PLANSPONSOR Europe that the EU to learn the lessons of the shale gas experience in the US.

The News.pl reports that Polish MEP Boguslaw Sonik this week submitted a report to the European Parliament, arguing that new regulations on shale gas are not necessary.

In the US the mining of shale gas has come under fire for the damage it can cause to water supplies and the general landscape.

And Litvack warns there is an opportunity for Poland and the rest of the EU to learn from the mistakes of the US.  MORE
