EverEnviro ties up with Danish firm for CBG plants in India

EverEnviro Resource Management and its strategic partner, Thermax Bioenergy, have entered into an MoU with European Sustainable Solutions to integrate the latter's Gemidan Ecogi technology into EverEnviro's upcoming municipal solid waste-based compressed biogas (CBG) plants across India, the company said on February 21.

European Sustainable Solutions, a Denmark-based technology developer in waste management, bioenergy, and green fuel production, brings its expertise to India through this partnership. The Gemidan Ecogi technology specialises in the segregation of organic and inorganic waste components, converting organic constituents into bio-pulp suitable for biogas production.

“Our vision goes beyond this milestone to 'Make this equipment in India' over the next 2-3 years while also bringing in a solution for handing paddy straw and producing sustainable aviation and shipping fuel,” Lars Rosgaard, CEO of European Sustainable Solutions, said.

“With vast agricultural land and industry, India has a great potential to not only be self-sufficient in the production of green fuels, but to export it as well,” he added.

EverEnviro is currently in the process of establishing eight municipal solid waste-based CBG plants across states including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Thermax recently told GasPathways that plans to further expand in the bioenergy space to help industries transition to clean energy.
